We were giddy with excitement on Friday when we were told we’d won the work to create, build and manage St John Ambulance’s exhibition at Europe’s biggest Safety and Health Live event next year.
Whether it’s a quick session with Annie, an hour on a Friday evening learning bandages as a kid, or being treated for fainting at a festival after too many sherbets, St John Ambulance have been providing invaluable first aiders and training for longer than any of us here can remember (which must be a long time judging by some of the laughter lines).
Whilst few of us can claim to be able to save lives in our spare time, we like to think we offer TLC for our clients during the day. But we salute your work St John Ambulance, as only 2% of people have basic life saving skills. So if more people had them then many more lives could be saved. If you want to offer some valuable time and help save lives, then get volunteering. You never know when you may rely on their skills yourself.
